Is Your Fulfillment Partner Holding Your Brand Back?

As a growing brand, you need a fulfillment partner who propels your business forward—not one who slows it down.

Warning signs to investigate

Order Delays: Late deliveries and missing packages frustrate your customers.

⚠ Inventory Errors: Mismanaged stock causing discrepancies and stockouts.

⚠ Lack of Flexibility: Rigid processes, limited space, and no room to grow.

⚠ Glass Shipping Issues: Struggling to find a provider who handles fragile items.

⚠ Missed Same-Day Fulfillment: Losing sales opportunities due to slow order processing.

⚠ Poor Communication: Difficulty reaching support when you need it most.

⚠High Costs: Packaging fees are eating into your profits.

⚠ Inconsistent Service: Unreliable fulfillment leaving you uncertain about your growth.

If any of this sounds familiar, it might be time to rethink your logistics partner.

Score the evidence, not the sales pitch

For each warning sign, record 0 for no documented issue, 1 for an isolated issue with a completed correction, or 2 for a repeated or unresolved issue. This is a planning aid, not an industry rating system. A serious unresolved inventory or product-safety problem deserves attention regardless of the total.

  • Order timing: compare actual release and carrier-handoff times with the written cutoff and service agreement.

  • Inventory accuracy: record affected SKUs, count differences, root cause and whether the correction was verified.

  • Fragile-item protection: compare damaged orders with the approved pack-out and document any retest.

  • Communication: record when an exception was reported, acknowledged, assigned and resolved.

  • Cost transparency: compare invoices with the agreed work and identify unapproved extra charges.

  • Capacity: request a peak-volume plan with staffing assumptions, limits and escalation owners.

Plan a controlled provider review

Prep Partners Group can review the product profile and proposed workflow. Confirm handling requirements, service hours, shipping cutoffs, peak capacity and quote assumptions in writing; same-day processing and special handling depend on the agreed scope, not a blanket promise.

Before a transition, agree on inventory reconciliation, test orders, system ownership, open-order handling and the date each team becomes responsible. Keep unresolved issues visible rather than carrying them into a new warehouse.

Contact us with the order profile, exception log, packaging requirements and proposed transition date so the discussion starts with evidence.
